Limerick Sings International Choral Festival will be a non competitive event and will take place in Limerick, Ireland from May 31 – June 02, 2013. Limerick Sings invites both National and International choirs to come and join us for a weekend of non competitive music and song. Visiting Choirs will have opportunity to perform at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Saturday Evening and on Sunday afternoon they will join with local choirs for a grand performance at the Concert Hall, University of Limerick.

Accommodation is available at 3 / 4 and 5 star hotels plus residential accommodation at the University of Limerick.

The provisional programme for the festival is as follows:-

Friday, May 31

Arrival of choirs throughout the day at the various accommodations.
Choirs will greeted on arrival at their chosen accommodation by City Choral Ambassadors. They will be provided with a package which will include a city map and all information regarding the programme for the week end.

Dinner at your chosen accommodation

Saturday June 01

Optional Morning and afternoon city walking tours with local Choral Ambassadors. While there is no cost for these tours choirs should indicate on their booking form that they would like to book same. Entrance fees are not included for visit to the Hunt Museum/ King John Castle / Donation only to St. Mary’s Cathedral

Choirs will have the opportunity perform informally at various locations in the city during the morning and afternoon tours.

Evening:
Choirs will be transferred from accommodation to St. Mary’s Cathedral for evening performance.
Return transfer to accommodation following performance. Members of local choirs will join visiting choirs in their hotels in the evening where they can all sing informally.

Sunday June 02:

Opportunity to join with local church choirs for short performance at city churches.
14.30 approx Transfer to University of Limerick Concert Hall to join local and National Choirs for the
Grand Performance.

Transfer to The Stables, University of Limerick for evening BBQ.

20.30 approx Return Transfer to the city hotels.

There will also be opportunities for the Choirs to visit some of Limerick’s well know pubs where they will be welcomed to sing informally or Choirs may stay at their hotels if they wish and be joined by local choirs in the evening.

Optional group tours: Prices available on request for the following:-

Saturday:
Optional Tour to The Burren Area and the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare.
Half Day Optional Tour to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

Airport Transfers:
Cost for Airport Coach Transfers available on request.
