Limerick came alive to the sound of music this weekend as the 2016 Limerick Sing’s International Choral Festival opened with a ceremony on Friday last. King John’s Castle provided the ideal backdrop to showcase the city to some of the 500 visiting choristers, their families and friends.

Deputy Mayor Ger Mitchell, together with Sheila Deegan, Deputy Director Limerick 2020 Bid Team, Siobhan King from Fáilte Ireland and Campus Life Services Sales and Marketing Manager, Gillian Costelloe welcomed assembled guests to the opening.
