The University of Limerick is situated on a superb riverside parkland campus. There are riverside walks, linked by a strikingly beautiful pedestrian bridge across the river Shannon, sweeping lawns, green walkways, an orchard and wildflower meadows.

Staying on campus allows you to be close to key Festival events, and gives you the opportunity to meet and socialise with other participating choirs.

Apartment Villages

Situated among these attractions are a number of individually designed apartment villages. Staying in one of these villages allows ample opportunities to explore at leisure the many charms of the campus, environmental, architectural, sporting and cultural.  The apartments which are of exceptional quality are offered on a bed and breakfast basis.

Cappavilla Village

is situated in an attractive landscaped environment.  It consists of a number of 4/6 bedroom apartments. Each bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom for single occupancy. There is a shared well equipped kitchen/dining room and a comfortable lounge with cable television in each apartment. Cappavilla has its own games room and laundry facility. The apartments are maintained to a very high standard and are overseen by a resident village manager.

Restaurants and Cafés

The University of Limerick campus has a variety of restaurants and cafes which are open during the summer and which offer a range of meal options. The Pavilion, situated close by Cappavilla, is a beautifully appointed lounge/restaurant and bar with soft furnishings and panoramic views. It serves tea, coffee and pastries all day in addition to carvery lunches and evening meals. Diners on the Veranda can take in views of the Clare Hills in the distance.

Sports Facilities

The University of Limerick, known as Ireland’s Sports Campus, has excellent facilities for a great diversity of sports. In addition to the 50 metre swimming pool and well-equipped gym there are four indoor courts for volleyball, basketball or indoor soccer. There is a 225m suspended running track, as well as numerous pitches for rugby, soccer and Gaelic games. All of these facilities are available on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Architecture

For those with an interest in architecture , there is a variety of building types and designs on campus ranging from Plassey House (also known as the White House) an 18th century Palladian mansion to the 21st century prize winning Medical School building.

Cultural Attractions

University Concert Hall is a 1,000 seat facility which hosts national and international concerts, musicals, drama and dance events each year. The campus is dotted with fountains and sculpture, and the visitor can also enjoy the several art collections housed in the university.
